My name is Eric Pepiciello Quesada, a young 27-year-old photographer born in Foggia (Italy) and raised in Málaga (Spain), the city where I currently reside and where I started photography at the age of 16.
In a self-taught way I began to take my first steps with the mobile camera, which at that time was the maximum I could aspire to, little by little and awkwardly I began to feel the pleasure of taking photos, I used to take photos of landscapes or street photography that later I entertained myself in my spare time to retouch with programs from the same mobile.
When I was 18 years old, my parents bought me my first camera, a Nikon D3100, it was one of the last ones left in the store and at a reduced price, undeniably that was the best of my luck, since it took a great effort for my parents to offer me that opportunity. . Since I had that camera in my hands, the ideas exploded in my head and I tried absolutely everything that occurred to me. At that precise moment in which I was tinkering with a camera that I was totally unaware of, I knew that I wanted to dedicate myself to photography professionally and that regardless of the genre, I would be happy for the simple fact of working with a camera in my hands. That same year, on a trip to visit my family in Valencia, one night looking for courses and schools online, I found the school that I was obsessed with from the first moment I saw it, Apertura Centro De Fotografía y Artes Visuales.
Shortly after, the economic difficulties in my parents' house grew, and at the age of 19 I decided to dedicate myself to working in stores to support the family economy, something that turned out to be insufficient at certain times, to the point of seeing myself forced to sell my camera for making a little more money and seeing how work and responsibilities prevented my goals.
It was not until I was 22 years old that I believed again in the possibility of being able to dedicate myself to photography professionally, largely thanks to the love and unconditional support of the girl who, for those years in which I did not know which way to go, was my partner and always he saw in me a passion in which he no longer believed. At the age of 23 and with innumerable difficulties to combine work and studies, I managed to enroll in Apertura and buy the camera with which I currently work, a Canon EOS 6D Mark ll.
During my time at Apertura, I completed the master's degree in professional photography in which I got to know all the disciplines that encompass this wonderful world, thus giving me the possibility of having notions in all of them and choosing which one to specialize in. Even though it is difficult for me today to opt for one or two genres in which to focus my attention, fashion photography definitely arouses in me a special artistic interest.
Constancy is a bridge between desire and fulfillment, Luis Señor.
